Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a personality disorder that can severely impact those afflicted.  Those suffering from borderline personality disorder may have volatile intense relationships, struggle with unstable sense of self and go from extremes of loving and then to hating people.  People with BPD may also have difficulty managing intense emotions, engage in cutting, burning, or other self injurious behaviors, have frequent suicidal ideation, and struggle with intense fear of abandonment.
