Hi, I'm Dr. Tina Watson

I provide compassionate, personalized care tailored to you and your therapeutic goals

I'm a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Tina A. Watson & Associates, LLC, a private practice based in Atlanta, GA. I work with young adults, adults, and couples who are tired of feeling stuck — clients who come to me when they're ready for something to change, whether that's the way they feel inside, the patterns showing up in their relationships, or the heaviness they've been carrying for too long.

bold Individual Therapy

Life gets heavy - transitions, relationships, stress, identity. Individual therapy gives you a dedicated space to process what's happening and build the coping skills to move forward.

Whether you're struggling to communicate or trying to rebuild trust, I help couples understand the patterns keeping them stuck and find new ways to connect.

Trauma affects your relationships and daily life. I use evidence-based methods like Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy to help you heal.

I provide evaluations and support to help you understand and build a healthier path.

Depression is more than sadness - it's a fog that makes everything harder. I offer compassionate, evidence-based treatment to help you feel like yourself again

Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a structured, skills-based approach that helps people manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and build a life worth living.

From constant worry to panic attacks to social anxiety, I help you understand what your anxiety is doing - and give you practical tools to quiet it down

An Approach Built Around You

I believe in tailoring treatment to a persons needs. As an assimilative integrationist, I pull from a range of evidence-based techniques - cognitive, behavioral, interpersonal, and more - and I shape the work around your unique history, personality, and goals.

Credentials You Can Trust

I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology, completed my internship training at Hartford Hospital, and completed postdoctoral training at Emory University School of Medicine. I have experience working at the Atlanta Veteran Affairs Medical Center and serve as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Emory University School of Medicine. I'm a member of the American Psychological Association and Georgia Psychological Association.

Connection First, Techniques Second

Research consistently shows that the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most powerful factors in whether therapy actually works. I focus on creating a space where you genuinely feel heard, safe, and understood. That relationship is the foundation everything else is built on.

Starting Therapy Is Simpler Than You Think

Step 1

Reach Out

The hardest part if often just deciding to start. Feel free and fill out the contact form below to schedule a brief initial consultation over the phone.

Step 2

Schedule A Consultation

We'll spend time getting to know each other. You can share what is bringing you to therapy, ask any questions, and get a feel for whether working together is the right fit.

Step 3

Start Healing

If we decide to move forward, we'll schedule your first session and begin the work together. At your own pace, with a clear sense of direction.

Questions People Ask Before Their First Session

Do you offer telehealth services?

Yes - I provide secure telehealth sessions to clients throughout Georgia. Whether you're in Atlanta or elsewhere in the state, you can access therapy from wherever you feel most comfortable.

It's a relaxed conversation - no forms, no pressure. You share a little about what's been going on, I answer any questions you have, and we both get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit.

Absolutely. Many of my clients come to therapy for the first time as adults. There's nothing you need to know or prepare ahead of time - just show up and we'll figure out the rest together.

That really depends on you and your goals. Some people find meaningful relief in a few months; others benefit from longer-term work. We'll talk about this early on and revisit it as you make progress.

Yes. My office location is in North Atlanta for in person sessions. For clients anywhere else in Georgia, I offer telehealth sessions through a secure, HIPPA-compliant platform.
