Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: September 17, 2026

Welcome to atlanta-therapists.com (the “Website”), operated by Tina A. Watson & Associates, LLC, (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using this Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Website.

1. About This Website

This Website is owned and operated by:

Dr. Tina Watson is a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of Georgia. Clinical services described on this Website are provided only to clients within Georgia, in accordance with state licensure requirements.

2. No Therapist-Client Relationship from Website Use

This is the most important section of these Terms. Please read carefully.

Visiting this Website, reading any content on it, submitting an inquiry through a contact form, sending an email, scheduling or completing a consultation, or any other interaction with us through this Website does not create a therapist-client relationship.

A clinical relationship begins only after:

  • An intake appointment has been scheduled and conducted
  • Informed consent forms have been signed
  • A Notice of Privacy Practices has been provided
  • Dr. Watson has formally agreed to accept you as a client

Until those steps are complete, no clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic relationship exists, and no clinical advice has been provided to you — regardless of any communications exchanged before that point.

3. Website Content Is Not Medical or Psychological Advice

The information on this Website — including blog posts, service pages, FAQs, and any educational content — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended as, and should not be relied upon as:

  • Medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice
  • A diagnosis of any condition
  • A substitute for professional evaluation, treatment, or therapy
  • An emergency or crisis resource

If you are experiencing a mental health concern, you should consult a qualified, licensed mental health professional in your area for evaluation and treatment. Reading this Website is not a substitute for that.

4. Crisis and Emergency Situations

If you are in crisis or experiencing a mental health emergency, do not use this Website to seek help. This Website is not monitored continuously, and we cannot respond to emergencies through the Website, email, or contact forms.

If you are in immediate danger, having thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, or experiencing a psychiatric emergency, please:

  • Call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) — available 24/7
  • Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room
  • Contact a local crisis hotline or mental health crisis service

We do not provide crisis or emergency services through this Website or our practice. Even if you are an established client, our practice does not offer 24/7 crisis coverage, and emergencies should be directed to the resources above.

5. Eligibility to Use This Website

By using this Website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are using the Website with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. This Website is not directed to children under 18.

Clinical services for minors, when offered, are arranged separately and require parental or legal guardian consent.

6. Geographic Scope of Services

Dr. Watson is licensed to provide clinical psychology services in the State of Georgia only. Telehealth sessions are available exclusively to clients physically located in Georgia at the time of the session.

If you are located outside Georgia, you are welcome to read the Website, but we cannot provide clinical services to you. We may be able to refer you to licensed providers in your state.

7. Booking a Consultation or Appointment

When you book consultation or any other appointment through this Website:

  • You agree to provide accurate and current information
  • You understand that booking a consultation does not guarantee acceptance as a client
  • You understand that the consultation is exploratory, not therapeutic, and is intended to determine fit
  • You agree to any cancellation or rescheduling policies communicated to you at the time of booking

If you need to reschedule or cancel your complimentary consultation, we ask that you provide as much advance notice as possible. Cancellation policies for paid clinical appointments are set out in Section 8 below.

8. Payment, Fees, Insurance, and Cancellation Policy

Payment. Payment is due in full at the time of service. We accept cash, check, and credit or debit card. At the end of each month, we will provide you with a statement of your transactions for that month containing the information needed to file a claim with your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement, if you choose to do so.

Insurance reimbursement. We are an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. If you have health insurance, check with your plan, as it may provide partial coverage for out-of-network mental health treatment. It is your responsibility to find out exactly what your mental health benefits include. If you decide to file a claim for reimbursement, we will work with you to make sure your insurer has the information needed to process it. Please remember that you — not your insurance company — are responsible for full payment of fees.

Cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ advance notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.

Good Faith Estimate – Federal No Surprises Act. Under the federal No Surprises Act, healthcare providers must give clients who are not using insurance to pay for services – whether uninsured or self-pay – a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before their appointment, both in writing and verbally. If your final bill is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute it. For more information, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Payment terms, accepted payment methods, and Good Faith Estimate documentation will also be provided in your intake paperwork before any clinical relationship begins.

15. Termination

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to this Website at any time, for any reason, without notice. These Terms remain in effect even after such termination, to the extent applicable.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of this Website shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Alpharetta, GA, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any Notice of Privacy Practices provided at the start of clinical services, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tina A. Watson & Associates, LLC regarding your use of this Website. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings related to the Website.
